Your shop comes with a free link based on your shop slug — for example, yourshop.myduka.link. You can change the slug part if you don't like the original or if you've renamed your shop.
Step 1 — Open your shop settings
Go to Dashboard → Shop. Look for the Your Shop Link section near the top.
Step 2 — Edit the slug
Tap your current shop link. A small editor appears with the slug part (everything before our domain). Type a new slug:
- Lowercase letters, numbers, and dashes only
- 3 to 30 characters
- Must be unique across the platform
If your chosen slug is already taken, you'll see a "not available" message — pick a different one.
Step 3 — Save
Tap Save. Your new shop link is live immediately.
Important: the old link stops working
Once you change your slug, anyone trying to visit your old link will see a "shop not found" page. This means:
- Old social media bios, business cards, and printed flyers will be broken
- Search engines will need time to re-index your new link (a few weeks)
- Direct links you've shared on WhatsApp/Instagram/Facebook will need to be updated
Change your slug carefully and ideally only once. If you have a custom domain connected, this matters less because customers usually visit you via the custom domain anyway.
Tips for a good shop link
- Make it your shop name without spaces (e.g. "happyleather", not "happy-leather-store")
- Keep it short and memorable
- Avoid numbers if possible — "shop1" or "store123" looks generic
- Don't use words you might regret if you pivot (e.g. "summer-sale" if you'll sell year-round)
Want a fully branded link instead?
If you want something like yourshop.com instead of a sub-domain on our service, you can connect your own domain. See Connecting a custom domain.
