If emails from your shop aren't arriving — order notifications, password resets, registration confirmations — here's how to track down the cause.
1. Check your spam or promotions folder
By far the most common cause. Email providers sometimes flag automated emails. Search for "myduka", your shop name, or "order" in your inbox to find anything filtered out.
Fix: mark a found email as "Not spam" and add the sender address to your contacts. Future emails should land in your inbox.
2. Wrong email address on file
For order notifications, check that your shop's notification email is correct — go to Dashboard → Shop and look at your contact email.
For password resets, double-check the email you're typing matches the one on your account exactly. A typo or extra space causes the reset email to be sent somewhere else (or nowhere).
3. Customer email is wrong (for customer-facing emails)
If a customer says they never got their order confirmation, it's usually because they typed their email wrong at checkout. You can find their email on the order detail and resend manually if needed.
4. Email provider rate-limiting
If you've requested several password reset emails in a short time, your email provider may temporarily delay or drop them as a spam-protection measure. Wait 15 minutes and try again.
5. Domain reputation issues
If you've set up a custom domain and configured email forwarding through it, your domain's reputation can affect deliverability. Use a well-known email provider (Gmail, Outlook) for your shop's contact email rather than a custom-domain forwarder.
How to test
- Place a test order on your own shop using a personal email you have access to.
- Check both inbox and spam within 5 minutes.
- If you get nothing, contact support with the time of the test order so we can check the send log.
