Setting up Google Analytics on your shop

Track visitor behavior, traffic sources, and bestsellers with Google Analytics 4.

Google Analytics gives you detailed insight into who visits your shop, what they look at, and where they come from. It's free and works alongside our built-in analytics.

Before you start

You need a custom domain connected to your shop.

Step 1 — Create a Google Analytics property

  1. Go to analytics.google.com
  2. Sign in with the Google account you want to use
  3. Click Admin (gear icon, bottom left)
  4. Click CreateProperty and follow the wizard
  5. When asked, choose Web as the platform and enter your shop's full URL

Once done, Google gives you a Measurement ID that looks like G-XXXXXXXXXX. Copy it.

Step 2 — Add it to your shop

  1. Go to Dashboard → Shop and scroll to the Search Engines section
  2. Tap Analytics & Tracking
  3. Paste your Measurement ID into the Google Analytics ID field
  4. Save
